Embarked on a Veggie Pizza Adventure with my own saucy masterpiece—added a secret twist to the classic marinara! The result? Pure yumminess! Couldn't resist sharing the love with friends, and they couldn't get enough of it! 🍕💖
Ingredients
- 100g all-purpose flour
- Salt
- Yeast
- Sugar
- 3 tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 4 cloves garlic
- Paprika
- Basil
- Butter
- Olive oil
- Mushroom
- Capsicum
- Olives
- Tomato sauce
Recipe
- Making marinara:
- 3 tomatoes, 1/2 onion, 4 garlic cloves, 1/2 tablespoon salt, 1/2 tablespoon paprika, 1/2 tablespoon dried basil.
- 1 tablespoons butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil.
- Blend the mixture into a fine puree, transfer the puree to the cooking pot, add 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce, mix well and cover.
- Cook on low heat for 30-40 minutes, then turn off the heat and let cool.
Making pizza dough:
- Take 2 cups of lukewarm water, add 1 tablespoon of sugar and mix well.
- Add yeast to this to activate the yeast, and after 5 minutes add 2-4 tablespoons of flour and mix well. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Add this mixture to the remaining flour and knead to form a dough.
- Divide into 3 parts and knead into small ball of dough.
- Place the dough on a plate lined with dry flour, cover and let it in warm place for 15 minutes. The dough will rise due to yeast.
- Preparing the toppings:
- Thinly slice the mushrooms, bell peppers, onions and olives.
Assembling the Pizza:
- Spread dry flour on the pizza base and roll out the dough into a circular shape.
- Spread the marinara evenly and top with the mozzarella cheese.
- Add the vegetable slices and finish with olive oil and basil.
Grilling the Pizza:
- Cook for 4-5 minutes on your home grill on high flame.
- Once done, slice and enjoy with a glass of fine red wine.
